Animal Crossing: Every New Item Comes in Nature Day (2021)

A year has passed since the launch of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which means players can attend some events for the second time, including special festivals such as Bunny Day and the upcoming Nature Day. Nature Day corresponds to the true Earth Day celebration in April and is a way to celebrate the environment and raise awareness of the need to protect the Earth and its resources. While it's not that big of a celebration in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Nature Day still offers various Animal Crossing items and rewards to help players beautify their island homes and become more environmentally conscious.

Last year, players could earn extra Nook Miles by completing certain wildlife-friendly tasks, such as planting shrubs or trees. While it doesn't look like new activities like this are coming, players can still buy new shrubs and plants from Leif from his pop-up gardening store. Leif will also be hosting the event this year, not Tom Nook. Ahead of the event, fans can also use the Nook Stop to order two new Christmas items: the Cool Globe item, the classic Nature Day prize from previous Animal Crossing games, and the Forsythia plant. Here's everything new for Nature Day 2021 in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and how to collect all the seasonal goodies.

How to get new items for Nature Day 2021 in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Nature Day 2021 officially kicks off at Animal Crossing: New Horizons on April 22, coinciding with actual Earth Day and lasting two weeks. However, players can now order their seasonal gadgets. From April 15 to April 22, players can purchase the Cool Globe item. This decorative piece has been a Nature Day award since the first Animal Crossing games, usually awarded by Tortimer or Isabelle for attending the celebrations.

To get the Cool Globe, players must go to Resident Services and use the Nook Stop, or use the Nook Shopping app on their Nook phone instead. They can find Cool Globe in the Special Goods section, along with other temporary seasonal items and order home delivery. It costs 2,300 rings and looks great in a library, home office or office.

The window is officially closed for players to purchase the forsythia plant, another new Nature Day item. The plant was also available on the Nook Shopping app from April 1-10. It cost 1000 rings. It's unclear if this plant will be available again later, but players can trade a friend to get one if someone they know has bought add-ons.

In preparation for Nature Day 2021 in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, players will need to save their Animal Crossing bells and get a good shovel and watering can to plant and care for their yard. They should also collect weeds from around their island. They are not only used to build hedges, but can also be sold to Leif. Like CJ for Fish and Flick for Bugs, Leif buys bushes of weeds from players for double what they would get from Timmy and Tommy in Nook's Cranny.
