New mermaid and pirate items in Animal Crossing: New Horizons were collected shortly after the release of the first summer update.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons players may have something exciting because new pirate and mermaid items were removed from the game shortly after the release of the first of many summer updates. A few weeks ago, Nintendo announced the first wave of summer updates, adding swimming, diving and other new content to the game.

Diving was previously introduced in Animal Crossing: New Horizonsf, and now returned in New Horizons. Players can now put on foam and swim and dive in the ocean. Summer update is the biggest game so far. In addition to swimming and diving in the ocean, players will also get to know new characters such as Pascal, see new animals, collect new craft recipes and much more.

The creators of the data quickly found the siren and pirate elements a few hours after the first summer update and shared them with yuecrossing on Twitter and SteeloKriPlayAC on Reddit respectively. Copies of data show pirate costumes and items such as barrels, hats, treasure chests and even a cannon. Mermaid themed products mainly consist of furniture such as beds, sofas, cabinets and more. More items may be discovered or released later as part of the current or next wave of summer updates. In addition to items extracted from the data, players can also buy new Animal Crossing seasonal items at Nook Shopping.

The new update introduced both the Pascal Red Sea Otter and Gulliver with pirate themes, because new NPC players can create new items or recipes and players can get extracted data there. Nintendo also announced that a second wave of summer update will be released in early August. It is uncertain what the company plans to release in the second wave of summer updates, but the trailer at the end of the first wave trailer refers to fireworks.

Adding swimming and diving to New Horizons gave players a whole new set of things to do in the game, such as performing synchronized swimming procedures or diving to discover all the sea creatures available in the game.
